Please note that original works of art such as paintings, drawings, and pastels created entirely by hand are generally exempt from import duties. In the United States, for example, this applies under Chapter 97 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, specifically Code 9701.10.00. The exemption covers both framed and unframed artworks.
Prints made from engravings, etchings, or similar methods are not classified as original artworks in the same way as hand-painted pieces. However, they may also be duty free if they are signed and numbered by the artist and printed in limited editions from plates created by the artist. This applies to all artworks offered on this website.
No, returns and refunds are not possible. However, if your order hasn’t yet been shipped or prepared, you may request to exchange it for another work of equal or higher value. Please contact the artist directly about this.
For all the drawings and prints, the artist has carefully chosen 100% cotton rag archival paper of consistently high quality. This paper is sourced from some of the most reputable art paper manufacturers worldwide and is specifically crafted for professional artists and printmakers.
Keep all art out of direct sunlight. The artist uses cotton gloves when handling artwork on paper to prevent the hands' natural oils from staining it. It's best to have clean hands, and it's always preferred to use two hands when handling art paper to avoid accidental creasing.
It's a personal choice, but art on paper is best protected when kept clean and framed over time, as seen in museums. Many people prefer a matte-free look, but if you choose to use a matte, ensure it is acid-free. In this case, the paper should be hung away from the glass or acrylic protector.
